What is sexual violence?
Sexual violence is “any sexual act or act targeting a person’s sexuality, gender identity, or gender expression, whether the act is physical or psychological in nature, that is committed, threatened, or attempted against a person without the person’s consent, and includes sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking, indecent exposure, voyeurism, and sexual exploitation.
Sexual Violence and Harassment Policy
This policy applies to all students, staff, employees, visitors, individuals and contractors who supply services to Innovations in Business Solutions.

Purpose of this Policy
This policy ensures an environment free from any form of Sexual Violence and Harassment and a safe place to study and work to all students and members of Innovations in Business Solutions,
Innovations in Business Solutions will appropriately accommodate the needs of all students affected by sexual violence and harassment. The intension of this policy is to make all students feel comfortable about reporting any form of sexual violence and harassment experienced by them. All sexual violence incidents reported will be promptly addressed and investigated immediately.
Commitment and Responsibility of Innovations in Business Solutions towards Sexual violence and Harassment:
- Maintain a college atmosphere free of sexual violence and harassment
- Non tolerance of sexual violence and harassment
- Listening, acknowledging, being non-judgmental, providing assistance and respect to students who have experienced sexual violence and harassment in campus and off campus by providing all psychological and emotional support.
- Incorporate appropriate procedures to investigate complaints received regarding sexual violence and harassment.
- Ensure that justice is provided in the best interest of the student who has experienced sexual violence and harassment.
- Ensure that every student experiencing sexual violence and harassment gets the respect and dignity they deserve in equality and justice against such acts of violence.
- Maintaining confidentiality and anonymity of the student who has experienced sexual violence and harassment.
- Provide all assistance to authorities in the investigation of any process of sexual violence and harassment in or off campus.
- Non-discrimination against those students affected by sexual violence in past and to facilitate academic accommodations and other academic needs to every individual who has experienced sexual violence.
Process for responding to and addressing incidents and complaints of sexual violence involving students
Any Innovations in Business Solutions student who has been subject to sexual violence is encouraged to immediately report such an incident to Innovations in Business Solutions student security assistance program department at (905)-268-0958
Any Innovations in Business Solutions College student who has witnessed, or who has knowledge of, an incident of sexual violence against another student or individual of Innovations in Business Solutions College is encouraged to immediately report such an incident Innovations in Business Solutions student security assistance program department at (905)-268-0958.
A report of sexual violence may also be referred to the police or to other community resources at the complainant’s request, which is in the best interest of the complainant in case the college cannot initiate an internal investigation under this policy due to non-availability of resources.

Confidentiality
Innovations in Business Solutions will always respect the confidentiality of students who have disclosed sexual violence. Innovations in Business Solutions will also respect and support all individuals, witnesses and support groups who assist and are involved in the education, training and who are regularly involved in the administration of reports and complaints related to sexual violence. Innovations in Business Solutions ll protect the identity of such individuals and ensure anonymity of names to see that no names are released to the public.
Unsubstantiated Complaints
If any complaint is filed and which after investigation is found to be frivolous, not true, not in good faith and erroneous that complaint will be dismissed.

You can call the college student security assistance program department at (905)-268-0958 and speak to someone directly.
Every student has a right to file a complaint against any form of sexual violence and harassment. Such person will be treated with dignity, non-discrimination, respect and shall be provided all forms of assistance and cooperation in taking action against the perpetrators.
Every individual witnessing any act of sexual violence including any staff, employee, fellow students, faculty are required to report such acts of violence to the Innovations in Business Solutions student security assistance program department at (905)-268-0958.
Innovations in Business Solutions process of investigation
Where a complaint of sexual violence has been reported to the College, the College will exercise care to protect and respect the rights of both the complainant individual and the person performing such act of sexual violence.
The Innovations in Business Solutions authorities will talk to the student who has experienced the sexual violence and also to the respondent.
A report of sexual violence may also be referred to the police or to other community resources at the complainant’s request, which is in the best interest of the complainant, in case the college cannot initiate an internal investigation under this policy due to non-availability of resources.
The Innovations in Business Solutions will cooperate with the local authorities and police where there is an ongoing criminal investigation.
The student who has experienced such act of violence will be non-discriminated and continue accommodation to the program that they are registered under.
