Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA)
This level provides individuals with a certificate that recognizes individuals entering the field of business analysis.
Eligibility Requirements
- No previous BA work experience required
- 21 hours ofprofessional development in the last 4 years
- Agreement with theECBA™ Code of Conduct.
Certification of Competency in Business Analysis(CCBA)
The Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) designation is a professional certification for business analysis practitioners who want to be recognized for their expertise and skills by earning formal recognition. With at least 3750 hours of hands-on business analysis experience, they have developed essential BA skills.
CCBA® recipients are recognized for the investment they have already made in their business analysis careers, and include professionals working in the role of:
- Business analysis
- Systems analysis
- Requirements analysis or management
- Process improvement
- Consulting
To apply for the Certification of Competency in Business Analysis exam and earn the CCBA® designation, a business analyst will need to be knowledgeable in all six knowledge areas of A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK® Guide) knowledge areas, with proficiency in at least two. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 3750 hours of business analysis work experience aligned with the BABOK® Guide in the last seven years
- Minimum 900 hours in two of the six knowledge areas or 500 hours in four of the six knowledge areas
- Minimum 21 hours of Professional Development in the past four years
- Minimum high school education or equivalent
- Two references from a career manager, client or Certified Business Analysis Professional TM (CBAP®) recipient
- Signed Code of Conduct
Certified Business Analysis ProfessionalTM (CBAP)
The Certified Business Analysis Professional lTM (CBAP) designation is a professional certification for individuals with extensive business analysis experience. With at least 7500 hours of hands-on BA experience, CBAP® recipients are the elite, senior members of the BA community.
CBAP® recipients are experts in identifying the business needs of an organization in order to determine the best solutions. More and more companies are recognizing the CBAP® designation and the value and expertise these professionals bring to their organizations.
You will want to consider the many professional benefits of earning the CBAP® certification if you have an advanced level of knowledge and experience and are working in any of the following roles:
- Business analysis
- Systems analysis
- Requirements analysis or management
- Process improvement
- Consulting
To earn the CBAP® certification, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 7500 hours of BA work experience aligned with A Guide to the Business Analysis Book of Knowledge® (BABOK® Guide) in the last 10 years
- Minimum 900 hours in four of the six knowledge areas
- Minimum 21 hours of Professional Development in the past four years
- Two references from a career manager, client or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) recipient
- Signed code of conduct
