SAP IS-Utilities is SAP’s Industry Specific Solution for utilities industry. The SAP Utilities (IS-U) component is a sales and information system that supports all business processes and utility services of a utility company. SAP IS-Utilities can be used  for managing and billing residential, commercial and industrial, and prospective customers. It is also referred to as SAP IS-U/CCS (Customer Care System).

This component also allows, managing and bill customers who receive services, purchase goods, or pay fees and taxes.

SAP IS utilities can be used for following functions:

  •       Preparing and delivering energy to customers.
  •       To providing and registering schedules in a timely manner.
  •       Exchanging and providing data for distributors and settlement coordinators
  •       Billing.
  •       Processing and checking incoming bills for grid usage.
