SAP and IBM Come Together to Serve Transportation and Logistics Industry

IBM and SAP AG have announced an international collaboration for providing tailored business applications and consulting services for the transportation and logistics industry.

Globally, transportation companies like ocean liners, freight forwarders and railways have recognized that challenges from energy costs to economic volatility cannot be controlled by the,. However, they will be able to provide improved performance by offering superior service to their customers if they evolve core business process execution with analytics, cloud computing, mobile and other technology advances. Having the backing of deep industry knowledge and experience from IBM’s SAP Center of Competence, IBM’s best practice templates will facilitate the transportation industry solution from SAP to be suitable and personalized to meet each transportation company’s needs.
